SAMHAIN OIL - Ancestors, Witches New Year, Divination

Samhain (sow-en) is the end of the harvest season, beginning of the dark days of winter and the witches new year. The veil is the most transparent between our world and the spirit realm. We celebrate those who have gone before us and all that was given to us throughout the year.

Samhain is a powerful time to do divination and communicate with the spirits. We can also celebrate the darker aspects within ourselves and release what no longer serves our highest good. It's a time to rest and reflect.

Place a candle in the window, make a bonfire or light your pumpkins so that our ancestors can find their way home. Make an ancestor altar if you don't already have one. Place apples, a glass of wine, pumpkins, acorns, pomegranates and gourds outside your door and set a plate at the table for a loved one who has crossed over.

Stones: all black stones, ruby, smoky quartz, carnelian, amber, pyrite, garnet
